The first Canadian Silver Dollar was minted in 1935 in memory of the 25. anniversary that King George V was crowned. Thus, this series of silver coins belongs to the oldest ongoing series of coins available to collect. In its first years, the Canadian Mint did not publish new coins regularly every year. Beginning with 1973, every year gets now a new coin published.
A great variation of used silver compounds, weights, mint qualities, colors, gold-plated editions and quantities in circulation makes it tough to get a brief overlook about the Canadian Silver Dollar coins.
